Sea of Cortez 2008-2009
Finding the boat of your dreams is not always easy. I have bought the ship which became Attila in Sonora, southern Mexico. We worked like madman for months to prepare the boat for the upcoming long trips.
The initial sea-trials were sailed in the Sea of Cortez, sailing among dramatic desert scenery. At this point I was getting to know the boat, and sailed her mostly solo, finding and correcting things after each trip.
The sea-trials were closed with a 40 day non-stop sail across the Pacific Ocean, from the Sea of Cortes to Panama.
